Can’t believe my little girl is 2 months old today and wow look how she’s grown! She is now spending a lot more time awake and is smiling and laughing more and more. Everyday we are learning something new about each other and I’m starting to feel like we are both beginning to get used to this new life we are both leading.
For Fathers Day last Sunday the whole family went on a little adventure down to Edinburgh Botanical Gardens on what was for once a dry day here in Scotland. It was also Midsummer on Sunday so the Gardens had put on a little food festival to celebrate this. We spent a lovely afternoon strolling around the glasshouses and enjoying the tasty treats that were on sale.
Here’s a little look at Aoife’s room that we are slowly putting together. She won’t be sleeping in here for a few month yet so we have plenty of time to finish it but it is starting to come together. I’ve know since before she was born what I wanted it to look like so it is going to be very gender neutral as I had no idea whether we were having a girl or a boy.
Before you become a parent for the first time its difficult to know what you will need and will struggle to live without and what you will use once and never look at again. The selection of things that are available in your typical baby shop can be really bewildering and the advice that you receive from friends and family can be overwhelming.
