When choosing somewhere for the baby to sleep there are so many factors to take into consideration. Do we need a cot or a cot bed, what material should it be made out of, will it fit into our room, do we like how it looks and can we afford it? There are hundreds of options out there for every taste and budget its just finding the one that’s right for you.
One of the favourite cots that I came across during all my research was this one from Ikea, its clean single lines and fuss free finish fitted perfectly with what I was looking for. The cot is made from solid wood and doesn’t have any paint or varnish on it meaning you can easily paint it with non toxic child safe paint if you want. It’s also very affordable so fits in with my idea that you don’t have to spend a fortune on baby things. We have also been given a second hand Moses basket which is perfect as I’ve been told that the baby probably won’t use it for long but it gives us a little more space in our small bedroom to start with. Everything is now starting to feel more organised and a little bit more real!
