At 32 weeks pregnant it’s time to start drinking the raspberry leaf tea. There’s no scientific evidence that the tea has any real effects but so many people I’ve spoken to have sworn by it that I’m willing to give it a try. The thought is that you start on one cup a day and slowly build up to three cups a day by your due date.
The tea is meant to tone up the muscles in your uterus and help your labour progress at a steady pace. I’m not particularly enjoying the taste so I may not make it up to the three cups a day stage but I’ll try for now. Even if it doesn’t have any effects on labour at least it’s making me drink more fluids which can never be a bad thing. I may also try making it into an iced tea when it comes to drinking it in larger quantities, maybe that will make it taste better.
